Our flagship development is a 150 MW solar power plant in Čevo, Cetinje, on 130 hectares of company-owned land — a construction-ready and substantially de-risked project developed to international standards.

SOLAR POWER is an independent, owner-managed renewable energy company based in Podgorica, Montenegro. We do not measure progress by the number of projects announced. We measure it by the ability to move a complex project from concept to execution.
When we began developing utility-scale solar in Montenegro, the market was still at an early stage. Rather than waiting for others to show the way, we built the expertise, assembled the right people and worked through the technical, regulatory, environmental and commercial requirements necessary to create a viable large-scale energy asset.
That experience has shaped our company. We are independent in our thinking, demanding in our standards and pragmatic in execution. We choose our projects carefully, work with partners who add real value and remain focused on the quality of the asset rather than the volume of the pipeline.

The Čevo project represents the core of SOLAR POWER today: a large-scale solar asset that has progressed from an early development concept to a construction-ready and substantially de-risked project.
The project is located in Čevo, in the municipality of Cetinje, and is planned on 130 hectares of land owned by the company. The required project approvals have been obtained, the environmental impact assessment completed and approved, and the grid connection agreement secured.
The technical development has been carried out with a clear objective: to create an asset capable of meeting the scrutiny of experienced investors, financing institutions, technology partners and public authorities.
From development risk to infrastructure value.
There is a fundamental difference between an attractive renewable energy opportunity and an investable project. Development risk must first be identified, managed and progressively removed.
SOLAR POWER has spent years doing precisely that. Land has been secured. Permitting has been completed. Environmental requirements have been addressed. Grid access has been established. The project has been technically developed and prepared for the transition from development to construction.
Much of this work becomes invisible once a power plant is operating. For investors and lenders, however, this is where a significant part of project value is created.
We therefore approach the next phase from a position of substance rather than promise: with a mature project, defined assets, a clear execution strategy and an investment case built around long-term performance.

Land ownership, permitting, grid connection, environmental compliance, technology selection, EPC structure, performance guarantees and long-term operating assumptions are not separate issues. Together they determine the quality of the asset and the credibility of the investment case.

SOLAR POWER intends to realise the 150 MW Čevo project together with one of the world’s most highly regarded EPC contractors in the renewable energy sector.
Our objective is to combine a locally developed and substantially de-risked project with international engineering expertise, proven technology, rigorous performance standards and a contractual framework suitable for institutional-quality infrastructure.
For us, the choice of EPC contractor is not simply a procurement decision. It is an integral part of the project’s risk profile, construction certainty and long-term value.
We are not looking for the lowest-cost solution on paper. We are looking for the solution that creates the strongest asset over its entire economic life.
Technology never stands still. Neither do we.
A solar power plant designed today will operate in a technological environment that continues to evolve for decades. Our interest therefore extends beyond conventional photovoltaic generation.
Next-generation solar
We follow advances in module technology, efficiency, durability and long-term bankability, with a particular interest in solutions capable of improving lifecycle value rather than merely short-term output.
Battery energy storage
We actively monitor developments in BESS architecture, safety, performance and system integration as storage becomes increasingly important to modern power systems and energy economics.
Research and emerging companies
We maintain dialogue with research centres within the European Union and follow young technology companies whose ideas may become tomorrow’s industrial solutions.
Innovation must improve the asset.
We are not interested in innovation for its own sake. We ask simple questions:

- Is it scalable?
- Is it financeable?
- Does it improve the economics, resilience or durability of the project?

SOLAR POWER is owner-managed. The people making strategic decisions are personally committed to their consequences.
That allows us to think long term, move quickly when necessary and remain selective about the partners with whom we work. We are open to new ideas, new technology and international cooperation, but we do not need to follow every trend.
We value direct communication, intellectual independence and partners who are prepared to challenge assumptions in order to improve the result.
High standards in technology — and in the way we do business.
Integrity, contractual reliability and transparency are prerequisites for long-term relationships and for infrastructure whose operating life is measured in decades.
We expect high standards from our engineers, contractors, suppliers, advisers and financing partners, and we apply the same standards to ourselves.
Sustainability is naturally part of our business. But responsibility extends further: to the communities and environment in which we operate, to our contractual partners, and to the capital committed to a project.
Trust is difficult to quantify. In our business, it nevertheless has considerable value.
